5 Movies To Get In The Halloween Spirit

It’s that time of year! The breeze is getting cooler, the candy corn is perpetually out on the kitchen counter and things are feeling a little more spooky. Yep, it’s Halloween time! AKA one of our favorite times of the year at Printed Mint, and judging by the incredible Halloween products that our Printed Minters are putting out, we think it’s one of yours too! We love that. If you’re in the mood to watch something to get in the eerie spirit this weekend, we have a few favorites we’d love to recommend.

And do us a favor? Tell us yours in the comments so we can try something new! Happy Watching.

1. The Witches

Now streaming on HBO Max, we recently loved The Witches on HBO Max + it’s a fun one to watch with the kiddos too! With Octavia Spencer, Anne Hathaway and other entertainment big-wigs you’re likely to love this is definitely set to become an October must-watch. Feel like you’ve heard of it before? You probably have! Roald Dahl’s story has been remade before — maybe you’ve seen it growing-up yourself.

2. Coco

Coco is sure to please both children and adults alike! This Disney movie won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and even Best Original Song, which is no surprise with its amazing soundtrack. Without giving you any spoilers, the movie is about young Miguel who goes to the land of his ancestors for Día de Muertos and finds out more than he ever thought possible.

3. The Haunting of Bly Manor

Though it’s not a movie, we felt like we just had to include Netflix’s Halloween favorite, The Haunting of Bly Manor. It’s the second season in the ‘Flix’s Haunting series proceeding The Haunting of Hill House which was all everyone could talk about around Halloween 2018 and Bly lives up to Season One! Prepare for more spooks, more twist + turn story lines and a little....well, you’ll see.

4. Trick ‘r Treat

If you’re a horror movie fan, thank us later and go watch Trick ‘r Treat! It was made in 2007, but definitely didn’t get the attention it deserved, in our humble opinion and is a movie best watched by candle light while snacking on a Reeses or five + a glass of your drink of choice. Cuddle up on the couch and be prepared for the scare!

5. Hocus Pocus

Okay, but how were we supposed to leave cult classic Hocus Pocus off the list of Halloween flicks to get you in the Fall spirit? Chances are you’ve seen it before but that doesn’t take the fun out of listening to Bette Midler sing I Put a Spell on You, Sarah Jessica Parker belt out Come Little Children or Thackery Binx move slyly with his feline charm. "
