New Year, New Goals
Resolutions are out, goals are in. This year, we're learning how to actually ACHIEVE the things we want.

2023 is officially in full swing. If you’re like me, you may have procrastinated on making goals or even all-out rejected the idea of having New Year’s Resolutions. But goal-setting is an essential part of running a small business. I know, I know. It can be intimidating to set goals, but it doesn't have to be. Printed Mint is here to help you achieve more in 2023!

1. reflect

Before you set your new goals, take a look back into 2022. Assess your profit, your habits and your productivity. What were your strengths? Where do you see opportunities for growth? Answer these questions honestly in order to set realistic goals for the new year.

2. set your goals

It’s time to set your goals. Based on last year, what’s something you’d love to improve on? Maybe you’d like to launch another brand, create designs earlier and faster, improve SEO, or decrease your customer service response time. Whatever it is, make sure it’s realistic, measurable, and achievable!

3. write it down

The only person who can truly hold you accountable for your goals is you. Stay on top of your resolution by putting sticky notes on your mirror, hanging a tracker on the fridge, or setting reminders on your phone. This year, we’re achieving our goals!

4. break it down

If your goal overwhelms you, break it down into digestible chunks. For example, if you’d like to design more, start by figuring out which holidays you’d like to push. Focus on one month at a time, and set deadlines for yourself. Each step of your goal should feel achievable.

5. celebrate

Every win deserves a celebration. If you finish your Mother’s Day designs just one day earlier than last year, that’s still worth toasting to! Celebrating small accomplishments will motivate you to keep pushing and improving throughout the year.

6. be patient

Don’t let setbacks destroy your drive! A year is a long time, and even if you fall short of your goal, you’ll still have moved the needle in the right direction. Be patient with yourself and your business. All you can do is keep working hard. You’ve got this!!
