3 Things Makers are Doing Wrong on Facebook
Social media can be a beast that many don’t quite know how to tackle. But the thing is, it’s a marketing tool that most product based businesses feel like they have to know how to do to put themselves in front of their ideal audience — Facebook being one of them. But with it being such a “pay to play” platform nowadays, how are companies supposed to gain organic traction? We have a few ideas.
- You Aren’t Going Live
We’ve seen multiple Printed Minters show up for their Facebook audience in a big way by choosing to go live. Many choose a consistent day and time of the week to record and for good reason. This way, their audience knows when to expect (and look forward!) to seeing them. Show off your BTS, new products that are launching or the day-to-day operations of your business.
- You Aren’t Mixing Up Formats
Facebook is no longer just a place to post photos. Sure, your audience wants to see snapshots of your new products. But they also want to see videos, relevant memes, reviews and Lives. Mix it up and have fun! Social media doesn’t have to be such a drag.
- You Aren’t Repurposing Your Content
Time and time again we’ve wasted our social media manager’s time by having them write new content — always new, ever changing. And while that’s important, you also have to be sure you’re repurposing content so that the useful information you’re putting out there is being seen + watched (listened, read) to others! Instead, spend the bulk of your time on strategy.
