3 Tips for Incorporating More Video on Instagram
With Instagram announcing it is no longer a photo sharing app and that they’ll be focusing more on video content (no doubt to compete with TikTok) it can lead to many feelings for business owners. While it can be an adjustment — and we surely won’t be changing things overnight! — there are several ways product creators can post more videos on-the-fly. Curious what our ideas are? Take a read, below.
1. Incorporate Products Into The Everyday
Sell our glass mugs like hot cakes? Create a Reel + dream-up three different drinks a customer could fill their beauty with and get them excited to purchase from your shop! Another idea? Simply set your video up on a tripod (or your kitchen counter) + film yourself drinking from that mug while you write out your morning gratitude list. Don’t forget to thank your customers! The goal here is to get your audience imagining themselves using your product.
2. Share What’s Coming Up
Have a spare minute on your morning walk or during the day? Hop on an Instagram Live and share what’s in the pipeline for your business! Can people be expecting a Black Friday extravaganza? A new product launch in the month of October? Are you bringing on a new staff member at your shop they’re sure to love? This is an easy way to connect with your people and be seen on the ‘Gram.
3. Divulge Customer Faves
Consistently get rave reviews about a particular item or have a few that people seem to love sharing on social? Create a post highlighting customer favorites — you can even include real reviews to create trust + show how loved the product really is.
