Because of COVID-19, production times are likely to be behind, shipping time has been increased and you might be dealing with more questions in your hands than you’re used to. We’re here to remind you to take a deep breath — now, another one — and give you a few tips on how to go about updating your customers throughout. 


1. Make It Clear On Your Website

You’ll want to make any delays or new standards known on your website, but remember that people are generally more wary right now and you’ll want to let them know if everything is running to schedule too! We recommend creating a clickable header (this one is super easy!) as well as putting an update on any blog, FAQ or news section you currently have as well.


 2. Let Folks Know On Your Social Pages


If you’re active on social media, definitely post an Instagram highlight and create a Facebook post detailing any new alerts — especially if you have an active following or are currently working with influencers who may direct people back to your social channels! 


3. Give Them An Estimate

Lastly, make sure that you’re giving an estimated production/shipping timeline at checkout or in a follow-up email along with their order confirmation. Most people are more than happy to help small businesses during this time; they just want to be kept aware.
