5 Ways We're Staying Positive

· ·

Let’s face it, right now it’s likely harder than usual to stay positive. COVID-19 has changed the way our lives run so much that even the most sunshiney of our friends have succumbed to moments of (the very much to be expected and honored) doom + gloom. But what are some ways to pull ourselves out of those moments when the time feels right? We decided to jot down 5 ways we’re staying positive.

1. Notes from the Universe

We recently subscribed to “Notes from the Universe” and they are so inspirational to get in our inbox every weekday morning. They aren’t pure fluff and you can tell they’re well thought out, giving you the opportunity to dwell on you, and the world’s, genuine greatness.

2. Morning Pages

Are any Printed Minters already a Morning Pages fan? We set a timer for around 15 minutes and let ourselves brain dump onto paper whatever feelings, ideas or insight is coming through in the moment. There’s no real goal other than to put pen to paper + start the day off with a fresh mindset. It has helped us immensely!

3. Tapping

One of our Marketing gals swears by tapping (a movement technique in the meditation family) + recently downloaded “The Tapping Solution” app. She says it has helped her remain positive during difficult times and wanted to share!

4. Call a Friend

Nothing has helped quite like calling a friend or family member that can always make us smile. Even better? A Zoom call where we can see their faces. Connection is a must right now and the importance of more of it is something we’re going to take away from this experience!

5. Not Checking Personal Social As Often

Not checking social media as often has been a lifesaver for many of us during this time. The last thing you need to do when you’re down in the dumps is to be commiserating with the news channels who are dominating the headlines with their scary one-liners. Instead, reach for a feel-good book or one of the tactics listed above.

And remember, we are all in this together. How can we help you more during this time? Share in the comments below!
