How to Keep a Productive Workspace
If you're an out-of-the-home operation, you know how difficult it can be to keep a productive workspace. There could be your dog barking relentlessly at the UPS guy, a leaky faucet that is drying you nuts or a kiddo walking in huffing + puffing after school.
However, it's extremely important to have a space you can get. stuff. done. in — and that's what we want to help with today!
Here are the Printed Mint Tips for keeping an insanely productive workspace:
Make Your Work Space...A Work Space
If you work from home it can be easy to find yourself answering customer inquiries on the couch, whipping-up new product descriptions at the kitchen table while eating lunch or designing a new mug in bed. But we've found that when we're at our most productive, we're at a designated desk that signals to us that it's time to get the darn things done.
No room for an office? Get a small desk for the corner of your living room! It can make all of the difference.
Take a Stop at the Motivation Station
Do something before each work session that means it's time to get going! Concoct a "pump up" playlist you blast on Spotify before you dive-in to work, do 20 jumping jacks or watch a Goalcast video that always leaves you feeling like you can conquer the world.
Add in the Essentials
This study suggests that when plants are placed throughout your office space that your productivity will increase (and sick days will decrease!) So take a trip to your local plant shop + get to adding.
Essential oils are another great thing you can add to your workspace to increase productivity. New to the #diffuserlife? Try scents such as: Peppermint, Lemon and Eucalyptus.
Lastly, make sure you make your office space yours by adding in photos of your loved ones, a fun name plate or a quote that inspires you.
