73% of people have stress that impacts their mental health and while there is loads that you can do help (the most important being if you feel more stressed or down than usual be reaching out for professional help) we figured we can start small with somewhere you frequent just about everyday: Your office space.
Your work space is where you answer emails, dive into brainstorm calls and answer customer phone calls, but it’s rarely somewhere we give much priority when it comes to upkeep, feng shui or design. Until today.
Introducing… Printed Mint’s top tips for a calm office space!
1. Incorporate Aromatherapy
A great way to do this is by adding an essential oil diffuser to your work space. Aromatherapy is proven to have a positive impact on your health and we love using lavender oil for stress reduction and lemon to give our moods a boost! This diffuser is one we enjoy, but you can get one at many retail stores at a price point that makes you most comfortable.
2. Clear the Clutter
Our motto is that a cluttered space leads to a cluttered mind, and who needs that? If you have a pile of books in the corner, your Starbucks cup from last Thursday and multiple notebooks sprawled about, it’s time to dedicate an hour of your day to making sure your workspace is both however you’d like for it to look aesthetically and usable.
3. Bring in Plants
It has been proven that bringing live plants into the home (or for our case, the office!) can relieve stress, sharpen your attention and may even boost productivity! AKA: The perfect work space addition. Look-up a local plant shop in your area and go to town.
