Top Ideas for Expanding Your Email List
If you’ve been following us for a while, you know we love our email marketing. We’ve written about it before (you can see our article on how to uplevel your email marketing here), often tout tips for it on our social pages and recommend it as a lead generation source for Printed Mint clients.
Because of that, it should come as no surprise that we wanted to answer a very common question regarding email marketing today and that’s: “How do I revive my email list? I market to it regularly, but feel that it’s growing a bit stale.”
So grab your fave beverage (we’ll take a glass of red, please) and read-up, friend. It’s only a matter of time until your inbox is dinging away with sales notifications.
1. Collab With Other Business Owners
Collaborating with other business owners is a great way to get your brand (and therefore your email list!) in front of the eyes of a new audience. One idea is to run a holiday gift basket giveaway full of small business items. Simply find a few brand’s you love (and that share the same target demographic as you do!), have everyone donate an item or two and jet an email out to all of the current lists. The only thing people have to do to enter? Sign-up for all email lists of companies involved!
This isn’t only a great way to grow your email list, but a wonderful way to cement your (rock solid) brand reputation.
2. Have an Opt-In
Cross promote a new opt-in offer for your audience to take advantage of if they sign-up for your email list. A short PDF guide that goes along with your brand mission or a 15% off coupon code are wonderful ways to go about this! Don’t forget to make sure the offer is known via occasional pop-ups on your website and footer as well. The more people are exposed to your can’t-miss-this offer, the more likely they are to press the “Sign Up” button.
3. Create Call to Actions
For capturing email leads, it’s vital that you create call to actions that make it simple for people to subscribe. Adding a “Sign Up Now” button to the top of your Facebook page for example, is a good way to go about this. We also recommend you create a call to action for your current subscribers to share an email your sending out with a coupon code or special offering with a friend or family member who might also enjoy the goodness.
