Where to Find a Freelancer You Can Trust
It’s that time — you’ve made it! You feel like you’re finally ready to hand over your gnarly business inquiry inbox, or your daily Instagram posting — you don’t want to spend time on Reels! — you’re on the lookout for a freelancer. But where does one find someone they can trust with their business and still get great results? Here are a few things that have worked for others in your shoes:
1. UpWork
UpWork is a site that allows you to post a job listing, go through potential freelancers with ease, message back + forth with them using their platform and eventually hire + pay their fees there as well. Freelancers have profiles you can sift through and you can post questions potential hires have to answer on your job listing in order to submit a “proposal” as well — it can take some searching, but there is a treasure trove of freelancing gold if you’re willing to put in a little time!
2. Take to Social
When in doubt, reach out to your network! So many freelancers have been found through a good word-of-mouth referral. Need a Facebook Ads genius and really admire the way a business friend recently ran their last campaign? Ask if they’d recommend their individual! Looking for an Instagram DM wizard? Post to the app + see who people have to send your way! You’ll never know unless you put it out there.
3. LinkedIn
A lot of the time LinkedIn is overlooked when it comes to finding freelance talent but it’s a fantastic resource! Simply pop your keywords into the search and go through results. Don’t forget to search through hashtags too. Example: #VirtualAssistant #InstagramManager
