This Cyber Monday, consumers will flock to their favorite sites for discounts, deals, and new products. The Monday after Thanksgiving is the single most profitable ecommerce day of the year, making it a major contributor to Q4 profits.

In 2020, NBC News reported that consumers are prioritizing movements over getting the best deal. With this change of heart, small businesses saw a larger increase in sales than big box retailers, and Shopify had its best year to date. If consumer habits continue to lean toward small businesses, Cyber Monday 2022 will be your time to shine. To succeed this November 28th, you’ll need to contribute a little extra thought and prep time.

Here’s your last-minute checklist before the big day arrives.

set your goals

What are you trying to accomplish this holiday season? What role will Cyber Monday play in this? Maybe there’s a certain product you’d like to promote or a sales target you’d like to reach. Write these goals down and assess your progress throughout your campaign.

Test your website

Read every product description, click every link, and even try placing an order. Cyber Monday may increase your exposure to a new clientele, and you need to make sure you’re putting your best foot forward. 

Make sure you test your site on both mobile and desktop. In 2020, 37% of sales during Cyber Monday were made through smartphones (NBC News, 2020)
