Spring Clean Your Business

It’s almost officially Spring and you know what that means — Spring Cleaning! Though Spring is always a nice reminder to dust off the nooks and crannies of your home or (finally) get around to wiping down the shelves in your fridge, it’s also a nice time to focus on how you can tidy up your business practices. If you’re unsure where to start, or just curious about what we’ve done in the past, you can check out a few of our ideas below.

1. Take Inventory of Your Brand

Gather your team and take inventory of your brand’s website, social pages, email templates, etc. and ask, “Does this still reflect the best of who we are? Does it reflect where we’re looking to go?” Unless the answer is a resounding “yes” for everything, identify what needs to be altered + tweak accordingly!

2. Clear Your Inbox

...okay, so this one may sound a little impossible at first, but what if you caught up to at least the last week and finally used a tool like Unroll.me to unsubscribe from email lists you no longer want to open, or don’t even know how you got on in the first place. This could also be a good time to add necessary folders or hire-on an assistant to take over emails that don’t need your personal response.

3. Sort Through Ideas

Back at the beginning of Q1 you likely had a laundry list of things you wanted to add to the shop this year, parts of your process you wanted to refine + new hires you wanted to be sure you were keeping in mind. How’s your progress going on those? Don’t fret if you feel behind (grace is the name of the game) — simply assess what you still want to achieve in 2021, what might be better off happening further down the road and make sure you plot actionable steps along the way.
